Lure Cigars has announced its second limited edition cigar, the Jolly Walleye, which will be released this week for the holiday season.
Lure Cigars was founded by Lou Cross III as a tribute to his late father. Lou Cross Jr. Cross Jr. was also an avid fisherman, which is the brand’s theme. According to Cross, “Immediately after lighting this elegant cigar, we experienced flavors that immediately connected with memories of the many sweet and savory treats we enjoy around the holidays. We knew this would be one we wanted to share with fellow cigar enthusiasts. Dad’s favorite fish to eat was the Walleye pike at a Friday night fish fry, and it seemed fitting since this cigar has become one of our favorite blends in our portfolio.”
The Jolly Walleye is a 5 1/2 x 52 Robusto Extra highlighted by an oily, medium-brown Habano 2000 wrapper. The binder is from Ometepe, and the fillers consist of three Nicaraguan tobaccos from Ometepe, Estelí, and Jalapa. The cigars come in ten-count bundles with a total production of 3,000 (300 bundles). Each bundle comes packed with a Boveda humidification pack and a limited edition sticker. Pricing is set at $15.00.
The Jolly Walleye follows Lure Cigars’ first limited edition cigar, The Last Cast (also a tribute to Lou Cross’ father).
The cigar begins shipping on November 20, 2024.
