Serafin de Cuba Cigars has announced that it will launch El Capitan, a limited-edition cigar, at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show.
El Capitan honors a longtime Serafin de Cuba employee and friend of owner Arnold Serafin, Jose “El Capitan” Gallinat. Gallinat was a Cuban Patriot who was in both the Cuban and US Armies and fought heroically in the Bay of Pigs invasion with Brigade 2506. This cigar was Serafin’s way of showing gratitude and respect for someone he cared for and who helped him so much for many years.
The El Capitan features a San Andres Mexican Negro wrapper over a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos. The cigar comes in one size – a 7 x 54 vitola. A total of 1,000 ten-count boxes have been produced. Pricing comes in at $15.00 per cigar.
The 2025 PCA Trade Show opens in New Orleans, Louisiana, on April 12, 2025.
