Martin Kove Prodigal Son

Actor Martin Kove is entering the cigar business and will release his first cigar, The Prodigal Son. Kove is partnering with Pauly DiSilvio of La Casa Grande Cigars for the project. The project was unveiled last week at an exclusive Los Angeles event. The Prodigal Son is the name of a four-part comic novel and a soon-to-be-released television series.

To produce the cigar, Kove and DiSilivio are working with Sanj Patel’s factory in the Dominican Republic.

The partnership was unveiled at an exclusive Los Angeles event, where Martin Kove introduced the cigar brand, which features a four-part comic novel and soon-to-be TV series. Attendees also had the opportunity to experience the artistry of La Casa Grande’s premium hand-rolled cigars. Details of the blend have not been released, but it is coming in a 6 x 52 Toro. In addition, there will be a special released companion maduro cigar.

Kove is best known for his role as John Kreese in The Karate Kid franchise and the Netflix Series Cobra Kai. DiSilvio is the founder of the now-famous La Casa Grande Cigar Factory on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. He has previously partnered with Chazz Palminteri on his A Bronx Tale cigar brand.

Due to limited production, the line will initially launch at three select retailers: La Casa Grande Cigars, Sanj Smoke Shop, and Smoke Inn. As production expands, wider availability is expected in fall 2025 and 2026.

Kove will attend The Great Smoke 2025 on Saturday, March 15, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida.
