Today, we visually tour the Fuente Fuente OpusX La Familia 25 Years humidor. This is the second release of the OpusX 25 Years cigar. The first OpusX 25 Years release debuted in 2021 and was distributed through accessory maker Elie Bleu, and it came in the form of a 7 x 50 Churchill. The product was available in an Elie Bleu humidor and an Elie Bleu cabinet humidor. Additionally, a set of Elie Bleu accessories was included. The second OpusX 25 release would be presented in the form of a perfecto. Once again, it would be packaged in a humidor, and this time, it would be distributed by Arturo Fuente.
Dubbed La Familia 25 Years, the packaging and the perfecto debuted at the 2024 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show. At the time, not much was disclosed about this release other than what we saw, and that it was being distributed through Arturo Fuente.
Late in 2024, Arturo Fuente offered a very small allotment of the La Familia 25 Years to select retailers. Most only received a single box. At least one retailer has informed Cigar Coop that another small shipment will be coming out after the 2025 PCA Trade Show.
The pricing is approximately $1,660 per unit, which contains 20 cigars packaged in unique coffins. When including the cost of the humidor, the price for each La Familia 25 Years Perfecto cigar is $83.00. Arturo Fuente has indicated that the humidor is priced at $500, which would bring the price of the Perfecto cigars down to $58.00 each.
In this article, we are exploring La Familia 25 Years through photos, words, and video.

The unit is very well-packaged for shipping. The humidor is packaged in a sturdy and attractive outer box:
Once the outer box top is removed, we see that the OpusX La Familia 25 Years humidor is packaged in a velvet sleeve complete with the OpusX 25 Years branding.
After removing the velvet sleeve, the beautiful piano-finish La Familia 25 Years humidor is revealed. The artwork resembles the outer box, but the piano finish gives it more elegance.
The humidor opens like a clamshell. The inside vista is revealed, and the trays inside are covered for protection.
After removing the cover on the upper tray, the contents are revealed. There are eight coffins. Each of the coffins is paired so an “X’ design can be seen. Two wooden blocks hold the tray in place, and they contain quotes from Carlos “Carlito” Fuente.
In the center of the upper tray is a large metal OpusX 25 Year icon logo and a key. Arturo Fuente does not talk much about the purpose of the key. There has been some speculation that this will tie into the OpusX 30th release.
Once the upper tray is removed, there is a lower tray. The lower tray is covered (not shown), but once the cover is removed, it reveals 12 more coffins. These coffins are also in pairs that form an “X.”
Each coffin has a unique flip design that, when opened, will lift the cigar out of the coffin.
The bottom of the humidor has a wooden tray with airflow. It can be lifted to store humidification packets.
