At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Arturo Fuente showcased the Opus X Forbidden X El Trece Magistral 13. As with many Arturo Fuente releases, this one is shrouded in mystery.
The Opus X Forbidden X El Trece is a Dominican Puro from a 2015 production. It features tobaccos grown on Chateau de la Fuente farm. It comes in one size – a 6 7/8 x 56 figurado. Some retailers have already listed this for pre-order. In terms of additional information, Arturo Fuente did not disclose more details. The name “El Trece Magistral” translates to “The Masterful Thirteen.”
The Fuente Fuente OpusX ForbiddenX 13 series was launched in 2011 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Arturo Fuente cigars. This is an extension to the OpusX line released to pay homage to the company’s history. The number “13” holds significant meaning for the Fuente family; it was the favorite number of Carlos Fuente Sr., who was also born on 13th Street. The address of Arturo Fuente’s U.S. headquarters is 1310 N. 22nd Street. Notably, Arturo Fuente, the company founder, was 85 when he passed away, and the sum of the digits in that age equals 13. Additionally, the wrapper for the Opus X Forbidden X 13 line was grown on a 13-acre plot owned by the Fuente family.
