Padrón PB-99

The Padrón Black PB-99 was showcased this weekend at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show. The new cigar is available in Natural and Maduro formats. The “99″ represents what would have been the 99th birthday of the late José Orlando Padrón. The Padrón Black PB-99 comes in a 6 3/4 x 60 format.

The Padrón Black has been one of the rarer Padrón releases – and one of the most mysterious Padrón cigar lines. There isn’t much disclosed about this brand. Padrón brings it out occasionally for a limited release. The blend first came out in 2016 as the Padrón No. 89 – an event exclusive for a South Florida retailer featuring the Corona Gorda size. A few years later, the Padrón No. 89 returned as a one-time offering to the Tobacconists Association of America (TAA).  Some other sizes released to Cigar Rights of America (CRA) have been included in sampler packs sold to support the organization. Most recently, the Padrón PB-97 was launched at PCA 2023.

They are packaged in ten-count boxes. Pricing is currently set at $44.00 per cigar for each blend. The cigars are targeted for release later this year.
