King is Dead Escape Plan

Laudisi Enterprises has announced the return of the Caldwell, The King is Dead Escape Plan. This cigar was released in 2022 as a box-pressed offshoot of the original King is Dead line. The new vitola was showcased at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show.

The 2022 edition of the Escape Plan marked Caldwell’s first foray into producing a box-pressed cigar in the Dominican Republic. However, the latest version showcased a different blend compared to the original King is Dead. In contrast, the 2025 edition returns to the original blend’s tobaccos but features varying filler percentages and different primings. Additionally, the wrapper and binder underwent unique fermentation processes. These adjustments were aimed at creating a more intense flavor profile.

The King is Dead Escape Plan comes in four sizes – each presented in 20-count boxes.
