At the 2025 Premium Cigars Association (PCA) Trade Show, Ceniza Fina Cigars launched their second blend, the Ceniza Fina Connecticut. Ceniza Fina is the brand owned by Sam and Rosie Lopez of Fine Ash Cigars.
Like Ceniza Fina’s first release, the Corojo, the Connecticut is produced from Hostos Fernandez Quesada’s Tabacalera La Isla factory in the Dominican Republic.
Ceniza Fina Connecticut comes in four box-pressed sizes – each in 20-count boxes. The blend consists of an Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut wrapper over a Criollo ’98 binder. The fillers are a combination of HVA, Criollo ’98, Corojo, and Jalapa-grown tobaccos. Initial production was set to 5,000 cigars per vitola. Distribution for Ceniza Fina comes from Pospiech Cigars.
“We are thrilled to announce our latest collaboration with Hostos, Mike, and our family at Pospiech Cigars on the new Ceniza Fina Connecticut blend. This partnership is a result of our friendship and shared passion for exceptional cigars. We’ve always admired the quality and craftsmanship of Hostos blends and expertise in tobacco and cigar making. Please accept our invitation to savor Ceniza Fina Connecticut blend cigars. It is a project that has brought us immense joy throughout the development process. We hope you find as much pleasure in experiencing them as we have had in creating them,” commented owners Sam and Rosie Lopez in a press release.
“Very excited to be working with my family from Fine Ash again on this new project. A great cigar from some great people,” commented Hostos Fernandez.
