PCA 2025 Crowned Heads

Crowned Heads had a lot of big news at the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show. One piece of big news is the retirement of co-owner Mike Condor after 45 years in the cigar business. Tim Ozgener is the new CEO, and longtime partner Jon Huber is the company President. Huber remains the creative force of Crowned Heads, and he spearheaded one of Crowned Heads’ most significant endeavors to date – the portfolio rebranding. As usual, Crowned Heads has a new line: a Connecticut Broadleaf offering called Broadway.

The Rebrand

Three existing Crowned Heads lines are the first to get the rebranding. These include La Imperious Mil Dias, and Mil Días Maduro. In addition, the new Broadway line goes with the new packaging. All of the existing blends remain the same.

Each new line gets a primary ring with Crowned Heads’ new logo. The primary ring is customized with a color set unique to that line. A secondary band matches the primary name and identifies the line of cigars. Finally, there is a matching footer ribbon.  The lines are also all moving to 21-count cabinet boxes.

There are two unique features on this packaging. First is how the old logos for La Imperiosa and Mil Días (including Maduro) are preserved as medallions on the sides. Second up are the shelf talkers from Jon Huber. Huber is one of the great storytellers regarding a cigar brand, and I love how this is integrated into the boxes.

Broadway

Broadway plays on the use of Broadleaf tobacco and Crowned Heads’ hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, which has a popular street called Broadway. As mentioned, it features the company’s new rebranded packaging format.

Broadway features a Grade A Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder from the Jalapa region. The fillers are Nicaraguan from the Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe regions. Presented in 21-count cabinet boxes, Broadway comes in three sizes. Pricing ranges from 11.95 to $12.95.

  • Robusto Extra: 4 3/4 x 52
  • Epicure: 5 1/2 x 56
  • Toro: 6 1/2 x 54

Broadway comes from the NACSA factory in Nicaragua. NACSA is well-known for its Connecticut Broadleaf lines. In fact, Crowned Heads has produced a Broadleaf line out of that factory, Le Pâtissier.  Broadway is an entirely different blend, and it sounds like it will replace Le Pâtissier as Crowned Heads’ main Broadleaf cigar out of NACSA.
