Rocky Patel Edge Candela – picture linked from Twitter

Yesterday, the picture above appeared on both Twitter and Facebook.  On Facebook, the caption said “The Edge is going green”.   This is in reference to the Rocky Patel Premium Cigars’ new Edge Candela.

This is in reference to the fifth blend of Rocky Patel’s Edge series – joining the Corojo, Maduro, Sumatra, and Lite (Connecticut Shade).   There have been no specific blend details disclosed at this time, but from the picture, it appears that the Edge Candela will be released in a single vitola – a 6 x 52 toro.

The Edge Candela marks the third major candela to be released in 2012.  This joins the La Flor Dominicana Double Claro and Viaje White Label Project St. Patrick’s Day 2012 candelas.

As you can see from the photo above, it indicates that shipping of this new blend is available. We will have more information as it made available.
