Cigar Aficionado has reported a line extension is coming to the core LAtelier line of L’Atelier Imports. The new size will be a 5 5/8 x 46 corona gorda-sized vitola and will feature a priming change in the wrapper. The line extension will be known as L’Atelier Selection Speciale or LAT46 SS.
According to the article, the same Sancti Spirtus wrapper will be used. However, this wrapper is taken from higher priming leaves and is darker in its coloring than the three current L’Atelier offerings: LAT52, LAT54, and LAT56. The article also mentions the LAT46 SS will have a secondary band.
Sancti Spirtus is a wrapper that was designed as a replacement seed for Pelo de Oro. The wrapper also has some resistance to mold.
The cigar is targeted for an April 2013 release. Here are the particulars of the cigar:
The LAT 46 SS has the same components with the exception of the wrapper priming.

LAT46 SS: 5 5/8 x 46
LAT52: 4 3/4 x 52
