New Hampshire retailer, Federal Cigar has announced a retail exclusive cigar to coincide with the store’s 92nd anniversary.   For this release, Federal Cigar turns back to Tatuaje Cigars with the Tatuaje 109 Federal 90th Redux.  Initial details of this cigar appeared on the Federal Cigar facebook page.

Back in 2011, Tatuaje provided two retail-exclusive blends to Federal Cigar for their 90th Anniversary.   The cigars were each a 7 1/4 x 50 Churchill – one in a Rosado wrapper (Tatuaje Federal Cigar 90th Anniversary 109 Rosado) and one with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper (Tatuaje Federal Cigar 90th Anniversary 109 Reserva).  There were 300 boxes of the Rosado produced and 100 boxes of the Reserva.   The Tatuaje 109 Federal 90th Redux comes in the same 7 1/4 x 50 Churchill size.

The cigar is expected to be very limited. Federal Cigar has said that 100 boxes/bundles of 25 will be made available.  They will be made available for an in-store event on 3/16, and phone orders will be taken starting 3/18.  There will be no pre-sale.

As first reported by our friends at A Cigar Smoker’s Journal, Federal Cigar is also releasing a retail-exclusive version from E.P. Carrillo for their 92nd anniversary called the E.P. Carrillo Medalla d’Oro

Blend Profile

The post describes the Tatuaje 109 Federal 90th Redux as the “rosado blend with a maduro wrapper”.  The original Tatuaje Federal Cigar 90th Anniversary 109 Rosado was an all-Nicaraguan puro.

As mentioned, the Tatuaje 109 Federal 90th Redux will be made in a single size – a 7 1/4 x 50 Churchill.
