Picture of the original Casa Magna Domus Magnus –
this blend will be returning as the Domus Magnus II but
using a 2007 Jalapa Sun-grown wrapper

Quesada Cigars posted a picture on their Facebook page with a caption “Thank God its back. D Magnus II.”   This is a reference to a new and upcoming release of the Casa Magna Domus Magnus that is being called the Casa Magna Domus Magnus II.

The cigar features a similar blend as the original Casa Magna Domus Magnus, but has a slightly different wrapper.  The wrapper being used for the Domus Magnus II is a 2007 Jalapa Sungrown wrapper – a different year of crop than the original Domus Magnus Jalapa wrapper.  Word of this cigar had surfaced back at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show.

According to the S.A.G. Imports Web-site (who distributes Casa Magna), the Casa Magna Domus Magnus II is shipping in two vitolas – Primus and Optimus.  These were the original two vitolas that were made for the original Casa Magna Domus Magnus.

The original Casa Magna Domus Magnus finished as our #19 Cigar for 2011.  We scored this cigar a 93 in our last assessment of it.
