Danbury, Connecticut Retailer Butthead’s Tobacco Emporium will be receiving an exclusive frontmark to the recently announced CLE Plus line. The exclusive size will be the 11/18 vitola – a size that is well known to Fabricas Unidas (CLE parent company) founder Christian Eiroa and his family.
When the CLE Plus line was announced in June, it was announced to be the “full bodied CLE Corojo cigar the market has been asking for“.
The 11/18 vitola is somewhat a staple to cigars made by Eiroa. The size stems from Eiroa’s days at Camacho Cigars. The 11/18
got its name from the birthday of Eiroa’s mother (November 18th). The shape of the 11/18 is almost a cross between a toro and a figuardo.
In a press release, Butthead’s Tobacco Emporium owner Kevin Paige said, “The 11/18 size was, to me, an obvious omission from the CLE Plus line. I immediately requested a batch to be commissioned for my shop.”
During an interview at the 2013 IPCPR in Las Vegas Eiroa was quoted as saying “The new 11/18 CLE Plus is only available at Butthead’s cigars, because Kevin is such a great guy and we all love him so much.”
The CLE Plus 11/18 is the first retail exclusive cigar to be offered by CLE Cigars. Since the initial batch is so limited, it will only be offered in a five pack sampler at this time.
