The Cigar Week Wrap is a one stop place to catch up on the activity here at Cigar Coop. It is a combination of our news reports, cigar reviews, and assessment updates we do throughout the week. We will throw in a few bonus items from time to time as well. Our intent is to publish once a week on Saturday mornings. Note: We have decided to label our posts as “Volume 2” to be consistent with the monthly “Editor’s Corner”.

IPCPR News and Previews
This is not meant to be a complete list, but more of a recap of whatever we covered this past week. We also did many updates to our pre-IPCPR coverage. Refer to our IPCPR Digest for complete info. We also have a brief recap on our August 2013 Editor’s Corner.
- Ashton: We previewed a new line extension to La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Reserva – the Pomposo.
- Avo Cigars: We took a look at the Avo Serenata – scheduled for 2014.
- Cohiba: The Cohiba Edicion Diamonte is back for 2013 with a new “A” sized vitola as well as a release of the 6 x 60 Gigante.
- Davidoff: We preview the upcoming Davidoff Year of the Horse 2004.
- Diamond Crown: J.C. Newman is introducing line extensions to the Diamond Crown Julius Caeser line – Hail Caeser and 1895 Perfecto Special Reserve. The company is also re-branding its Diamond Crown Maduro line as Diamond Crown Black Diamond.
- Dunhill: We previewed the new Dunhill Aged Reserva Especial 2006.
- Drew Estate: A photo has appeared on Drew Estate Chairman Jonathan Drew’s Google Plus account on “My Celery Weighs a Ton”. This is a long rumored candela release by Drew Estate. The photo indicated it is a “6 x 60 and Authentic Candela Wrapper”. This is a long rumored project, but there is no further information available in terms of whether this is confirmed or not.
- Elogio: We previewed the new Elogio Excentrico No. 2
- Foundry: We previewed the brick and mortar offerings in Compounds, Elements and Musings.
- Gran Habano: We have updated information on the George Rico S.T.K. Miami American Puro.
- Hammer and Sickle: The company has launched their sixth blend, the new Hammer and Sickle Icon Series
- La Palina Cigars: We have a feature story catching up on the company at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show.
- My Father Cigars: The Don Pepin Garcia Limited Edition 10th Anniversary Cigar is beginning to arrive at select retailers.
- Partagas: We took a look at the latest Partagas Benji Menendez Master Series line extension – the Partagas Benji Menendez Master Series Robusto
- Punch: We previewed the new Punch Cigar Miniatures and Cigarillos
- Viva Republica: We previewed the Rapture Maduro.

- Chattanooga Tweet Up and Cigar Festival: The event is currently underway being hosted by Burns Tobacconist.
- Crush and Roll West 2013: The event is scheduled for September 6-7, 2013 in Pasa Robles, California.
- Felipe Gregorio: We previewed the Maximo Ligero 3 Tierras
- La Barba Boutique Cigars: We looked at the company and go some insight into its first release.
- Ortega Premium Cigars: We previewed the July installment (#7) of the Ortega Wild Bunch 2013 – the Wild Bill “Cheroot”.
Legislative News
- FDA: Since last week’s report, an additional 4 co-sponsors have signed on to HR 792 –making for a total 114 co-sponsors (115 total sponsors).
