While it was announced back in July, Smoke Inn officially released details about the seventh installment of its Microblend SeriesTM series, the Oktoberfest Dunkel.  This cigar will be based off the Quesada Oktoberfest, with a change to the wrapper.  Details were announced via a press release today.

The core Oktoberfest line features a Dominican Cibao wrapper.  For the Dunkel, a Broadleaf maduro wrapper will cover most of the cigar. The exception will be at the footer where there is a slight underlying Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper.  The binder and filler of the Dunkel will be the same as the core Oktoberfest line.  The cigar is being made in one size – a 6 x 54 toro.  The cigar is being made by MATASA in the Dominican Republic.

Dunkel is the German word to describe a dark lager.  The dark maduro wrapper is indicative of that while the Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper at the footer gives the appearance of a foam head of a Dunkel beer.  According to the press release, “The unique experience of smoking one wrapper, then 2 wrappers, and then one wrapper again give this Oktoberfest a unique complex flavor while maintaining that core flavor of Oktoberfest that fans across the world have grown to love.”

Smoke Inn will have a National Release party on Friday September 20th at the Smoke Inn Pompano Beach location.
