Reinado Cigars has confirmed to Cigar Coop that they have begun to ship the Reinado Grand Empire Reserve Premium Collection to retailers.  This line adds three additional sizes to the Reinado Grand Empire Reserve line.

Reinado made these announcements for the line extensions just prior to the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show.   The blend was originally launched at the 2012 show, but in a single size – a 5 x 55 box-pressed robusto called Elegidos.  The Grand Empire Reserve is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a select maduro wrapper.  It marked the second blend to be released by the company.  The cigar recieved high praise in the market place scoring a 92 on Cigar Coop and was an Honorable Mention on our 2012 Cigar of the Year list.  Just prior to the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show, we named the company one of our 2013 Five Boutiques to Watch.

The three additional sizes are a 6 x 52 box-pressed toro, a 5 5/8 x 46 rounded corona gorda, and a rounded 6 x 38 petite lancero.  The petite lancero will be a limited edition as only 2500 cigars (250 boxes of ten) are being produced. The vitolas in the line are now being called the Reinado Grand Empire Reserve Premium Collection.

Reinado Cigars President Antonio Lam told Cigar Coop,  “After a year of having released the original Grand Empire Reserve 5 x 55 box pressed vitola that has, and continues to favorably surprise the cigar industry, we are proud and excited to expand the line with three new sizes that were meticulously blended. All three vitolas carry the rich undertones found within the GER blend and were uniquely fermented with the Reinado signature fermentation. Shipping now to retailers nationwide.”

Lam is scheduled as our featured guest on the 10/10 Stogie Geeks Show.
