|Padron 50 Years – The Hammer (Humidor)
It’s been known for a while that 2014 would be a special year for the Padron family as they would commemorate the 50th anniversary since family patriarch Jose O. Padron would found the company. At the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show, the centerpiece product of this celebration was revealed: the Padron 50 Years – The Hammer. Cigar Coop anticipated this would be the hottest cigar at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show, and pretty much we still feel that is the case.
The Padron 50 Years will be a Nicaraguan puro and the humidor will be available with 50 cigars. Each humidor is individually numbered, and each cigar is individually numbered. There will be a one time production of 1000 Humidor total. Pricing has not been set yet, but the number has been estimated to be $4,500.00 to $5,000.00. The hefty price did not seem to deter retailers’ interest in this.
