Casa Fernandez will be introducing a new cigar under its JFR line called the JFR Lunatic.  This cigar will introduce an 8 x 80 cigar into the marketplace.  This mammoth cigar will have one additional twist – it will be in the form of a belicoso.

The line will feature Casa Fernandez’s signature Aganorsa tobaccos grown in Nicaragua and will be wrapped with a San Andres wrapper.  The Lunatic will feature its own unique band and have a ribbon around the footer.

Big ring gauges are nothing new for Casa Fernandez.  The company set the trend with the industry’s first 7 x 70 back in 2011. While 80 ring gauge cigars are not new,  the Lunatic becomes the first formally announced 8 x 80 by a major manufacturer in the cigar industry.   The belicoso seems to address an issue that many cigar enthusiasts have had in terms of cutting and smoking a large ring gauge cigar
