Senor Andre’s Chicharrones is being made in one size for each of the blends – a 4 1/2 x 48 vitola. Production numbers have not been disclosed, but all Viaje releases are small batch.Viaje Cigars has announced a three cigar set called Senor Andre’s Chicharrones. The cigars feature three different blends with three different wrappers. The cigars are part of the early Spring 2015 release for Viaje Cigars slated to be shipped to retailers on March 16th.
While specific blend details were not disclosed, the three wrappers will incorporate the three wrappers typically used by Viaje – Corojo, Maduro, and Criollo. The cigars all feature tobaccos from the Aganorsa farms in Nicaragua. The cigars are produced at the TABSA factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Chicharrones is a dish usually consisting of fried pork rinds, but sometimes beef or chicken is used.
The blends are being positioned in three varieties “Original” (Corojo), “Bold” (Maduro) and “Spicy” (Criollo). The cigars will be packaged in 90 count tray style boxes. There will be three compartments and each compartment will contain 30 cigars of the particular blend.
The name Senor Andre is a reference to Viaje founder and President Andre Farkas. It is the second time he has used his name on a cigar release as Farkas’ name appeared on the packaging of the Viaje Antidote. It is also part of a Cinco de Mayo theme incorporated by Viaje for its Spring release. The other release is the Viaje Jalapeno.
