The Hammer + Sickle Icon Series will now be called the Hammer + Sickle Trademark Series |
Hammer + Sickle has announced they have renamed the Hammer + Sickle Icon Series to the Hammer + Sickle Trademark Series. In addition the company is also planning a Maduro offering in the line to go along side the current Connecticut Shade offering. Plans are for the Maduro offering to be launched this July.
In a statement on the Hammer + Sickle web-site:
When you have a special cigar, you want it to have the perfect name. To that end we have renamed the Icon line to Trademark Series. Icon was singular. Trademark will be plural with a Maduro offering comming in July. Now you can leave your mark in either Connecticut or Maduro
Hammer + Sickle originally launched the Icon Series at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show. It became the sixth line introduced from Klin Group’s Hammer + Sickle cigar brand. It joined the Tradicion Serie as a Connecticut Shade wrapper offering. While Tradicion Serie uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper, the Icon was introduced with a U.S. Connecticut Shade wrapper. The remainder of the blend consists of Dominican binder and filler and is made at Davidoff’s TABADOM factory in the Dominican Republic. It was launched in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 50), and Churchill (7 x 48).
