Padron Cigars has officially announced its new short 4 inch line extension to its 1964 Anniversary series. The cigar is called the Padron 1964 Anniversary Hermoso and it measures 4 x 56. Par for the course with the Padron 1964 Anniversary line, it will be offered in a natural and maduro.
Last month, Cigar Aficionado noted a report of a 4 x 54 unnamed line extension coming from Padron. It turns out that this cigar made it to select retailers on a pre-release basis. However, the line extension is listed as 4 x 56 and dubbed Hermoso.
The Padron 1964 Anniversary Hermoso will be available in 26 count boxes. At a glance, here is a look at the Padron 1964 Anniversary line:

Just say what we’re all thinking…it’s a Padron Nub. 🙂
…only box-pressed. ?
I’m after some of these!
Like I mentioned on another site, the Hermosos I smoked were 4×50 – basically the length of a 1926 No.35 and the width of a 1926 No.6. We got a few preliminary boxes of natural and maduro a few months back. I assume now those were pre-release samples as this size is much thicker than what I smoked.
They changed the blend and size from the original idea…i guess it worked better in a 4×56.
