Casa de Montecristo, the retail arm of Tabacalera USA has announced it has acquired Florida-based Tampa Humidor. The acquisition includes the current Tampa Humidor location as well as a planned second location this Spring.

The relationship with Tampa Humidor started last year when Casa de Montecristo announced it was partnering with Tampa Humidor to open a new store at 510 S. Howard Avenue in the South Tampa area. Now with the acquisition, Casa de Montecristo will add the current Tampa Humidor store located at 1418 E. Busch Boulevard. Both stores will be branded “Casa de Montecristo by Tampa Humidor”.

As a part of the acquisition Mike Howe of Tampa Humidor will be joining the Casa de Montecristo team.

The acquisition of Tampa Humidor as well as the new planned store will bring the total number of Casa de Montecristo branded stores to 19. The Casa de Montecristo brand consists of a combination of both company-owned stores as well as licensed partners with existing retailers.
