At the 2018 IPCPR Trade Show, the Surrogates brand unveiled its eighth blend in the series, appropriately called the Surrogates Eight Baller.
The Eight Baller consists of a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is available in one size – a 5 3/4 x 56 box-pressed packaged in 20-count boxes. It is the third Connecticut Broadleaf blend in the series, but is described as somewhat more dialed back than the other two Surrogates Broadleaf releases, the Surrogates Bone Crusher and Surrogates Skull Breaker.
Surrogates was launched in 2013 as a brand under the L’Atelier Imports company, a spin-off company started by Pete Johnson. Recently L’Atelier Imports and Tatuaje Cigars have consolidated their operations. Surrogates today consists of eight blends and a total of 12 sizes.
