Gran Habano is one of the steady performers in the cigar industry. They have a nice portfolio of products that can appeal to the many different types of cigar enthusiasts. On top of that the cigars are of high quality and are offered at reasonable prices.

Over the years, the company has amassed at nice portfolio of cigars, including predicate blends. This year the company showcased some newer offerings at the IPCPR Trade Show.

One of the newer offerings that was showcased was Blue in Green. It’s a blend built on vintage tobaccos featuring a Connecticut Shade wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. It is offered in three sizes presented in 20-count boxes: Gran Robusto (6 x 54), Robusto (5 x 52), and Churchill (7 x 48). While it was announced prior to IPCPR, the trade show marks the first time it was unveiled. Blue in Green keeps to Gran Habano’s sweet spot as a value priced offering with an MSRP ranging from $6.70 to $7.30.

Also making its debut at IPCPR was the Gran Habano  Gran Reserva #5. It’s the fifth offering in the Gran Habano’s Gran Reserva line. The blend uses Nicaraguan tobaccos in the wrapper, binder, and filler. In addition, there is also some Costa Rican tobacco incorporated into the filler. The cigars are available in five sizes presented in 20-count boxes. The sizes range from a connoisseur-sized Corona Gorda to a 7 x 70. Corona Gorda( 5 5/8 x 46)  Gran Robusto (6 x 54), Imperial (6 x 60), Czar (6 x 66), and Grandioso (7 x 70). Pricing ranges from $8.00 to $11.00 MSRP.

There is a new Coleccion De Elegancia set. This is an elegant sampler of five sizes of the Gran Habano Corojo No. 5 blend and is called La Coleccion De Elegancia Corojo No. 5 Maduro. It consists of 50 cigars with ten cigars per size. Each of the five sizes is a 48 ring gauge or less. The sizes include: Lunch Breaks (4 1/2 x 40), Petite Corona (5 1/2 x 42), Corona: (6 x 44), Lancero:(7 1/2 x 38), and Figurado #200 (5 x 48). These are the same sizes that were released on the original La Coleccion De Elegancia Corojo No. 5 (non-maduro) released two years ago. Pricing is set at $356.00.

Finally, there is a series of clear tube offerings for the Gran Robusto (6 x 54) size of the Gran Habano Connecticut #1, Gran Habano Habano #3, Gran Habano Coroko #5, and the Gran Habano Maduro #5. They will be available in both five and ten-count boxes.
