La Barba’s Ricochet line is expanding. At the 2019 IPCPE Trade Show, the company will release the La Barba Crü Mexi-Sol – a cigar that will introduce a Mexican Sungrown wrapper offering under the Ricochet line.
The “crü Mexi-Sol” is a play on the Mexican Sungrown wrapper. The blend also features an Indonesian binder and fillers from Nicaragua, Pennsylvania, and the Dominican Republic. It is being released in four sizes: 4 1/4 x 44, 5 1/2 x 54, 6 x 60, and 6 1/8 x 52 (Torpedo). Production is handled at Tabacalera William Ventura and distribution is from Robert Caldwell’s Down and Back company.
“Ricochet is meant to be a series brand, sort of going back to my roots as a Sommelier, each blend I did takes the components of wines from around the world that I have fallen in love with. The first was blended with my love of Italian Zinfandel or “primitivo” in mind, taking cues from the wine like spicy, earthy, leathery, and a little sweetness and spice. The new Ricochet is modeled after [my] first Left Bank Bordeaux and is very balanced and complex with a definitive spicy minerality, and a touch of soft sweetness,” commented brand owner Tony Bellatto.
La Barba Ricochet Crü Mexi-Sol joins the original La Barba Ricochet which was the first maduro cigar from the company.
The 2019 IPCPR Trade Show opens June 29th in Las Vegas Nevada.
