Perdomo Cigars isn’t known for relying on new releases for the IPCPR/PC Trade Show, but if there was a trade show this year, the new additions to the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary line were going to take center stage.  If you have followed Perdomo at previous IPCPR Trade Shows, their booth is one of the more elaborate booths bustling with plenty of activity. While we didn’t have Nick Perdomo‘s drums at the end of the Trade Show day, we still had a company that was well-prepared to execute on its strategy of bringing its new products to market.

The new additions to the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary blend include both the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Sun Grown and Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Maduro. Both cigars feature 100% Nicaraguan tobacco grown on the Perdomo farmers.

The Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Sun Grown features a 6-year old Cuban-seed Nicaraguan wrapper that has been bourbon barrel-aged for an additional 10 months over a 6-year old Cuban-seed Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. Meanwhile the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Maduro is a medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan “puro” blended with a dark, oily 6-year old Cuban-seed Nicaraguan wrapper that has been bourbon barrel-aged for an additional 14 months over a 6-year old Cuban-seed Nicaraguan binder and filler tobacco.

Both cigars are packaged in 25-count boxes in the following sizes: Figurado (4 3/4 x 56), Robusto (5 x 54), Epicure (6 x 54), Torpedo (7 x 54), Churchill. Pricing is set at $7.25 to $9.75 per cigar, excluding state and local taxes. The red packaging of the Sun Grown and the blue packaging of the Maduro help both of these cigars really pop in Perdomo’s mature retail merchandising model.

Both the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Box-Pressed Sun Grown and Maduro offering will be positioned alongside the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne, one of Perdomo’s most popular offerings. To make room for these offerings, the current Perdomo Champagne Noir and Perdomo Champagne Sun-Grown were retired.

Back in mid-June, Perdomo also introduced the Perdomo Firecracker. It was a cigar that was first made available to Two Guys Smoke Shop as an exclusive before being distributed exclusively through United Cigar. The Firecracker is a 3 1/2 x 50 vitola that features an extended fuse on the cap draped under the cigar band. The cigar features a high priming Sun Grown Nicaraguan wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers.

Perdomo Cigars Vice President Arthur Kemper appeared on Prime Time’s Virtual Trade Show 2020 to discuss his companies 2020 releases.
