At the Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) 2021 in Las Vegas Nevada, Altadis U.S.A. will launch a new Connecticut Shade offering to its H. Upmann brand with the H. Upmann 1844 Classic.

The H. Upmann 1844 Classic is described as a “next-level” shade medium-bodied cigar. It consists of an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a blend of Honduran tobaccos.

“The blend used for the 1844 Classic reflects elevated tradition and the heritage of the H. Upmann brand,” says Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability Tabacalera USA in a press release. “I am very proud of the passion and dedication of the Grupo de Maestros of La Flor de Copan, for crafting a blend that will satisfy seasoned cigar aficionados and those discovering the category alike.”

The H. Upmann 1844 Classic comes in four sizes, with each presented in 25-count boxes. These boxes reflect the heritage of the brand. The champagne-colored cigar bands are meant to compliment the rest of the H. Upmann 1844 line.

“The H. Upmann 1844 heritage line represents over 177 years in cigar expertise,” says Jennifer True, Senior Brand Manager Altadis U.S.A. “With the introduction of the 1844 Classic, the brand aims to hone its signature identity which is rooted in rich tradition and experienced by today’s enthusiasts through the nuances that each H. Upmann cigar delivers.”

TPE 2021 is scheduled to open on May 12, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
