At the Tobacco Plus Expo 2021 (TPE 2021), Maya Selva Cigars will launch an extension to its Cumpay Maduro line in the form of a Robusto.

The name Cumpay is the Tawakha Indian name for a rolled tobacco leaf. Cumpay is Maya Selva Cigars’ Nicaraguan puro line. The cigar consists of 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos. There are both natural and maduro offerings in the line. Up until this point, there has only been one size in the Cumpay Maduro line available in the U.S., the 5 x 60 Cumpay Vulcan Maduro.

The company says the blend consists of tobaccos from tobaccos from Ometepe, Jalapa and Estelí highlighted by a naturally fermented maduro wrapper from Jalapa. The new Robusto size measures 4 3/4 x 50 and is packaged in 20-count boxes.

TPE 2021 is scheduled to open in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 12, 2021.
