Drew Estate has announced the Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat is returning for a limited production run in 2021. The cigar has begun shipping this week to Drew Diplomat retailers.
Year of the Rat was originally launched in 2016 where it was a lounge exclusive at a Drew Estate branded lounge at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, home of the Florida Panthers. Last year the Year of the Rat made a comeback as an event-only cigar.
The Liga Privada Year of the Rat consists of a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, a Brazilian binder, and fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. The cigar comes in one size – a 5 1/2 x 46 Corona Gorda. The cigars feature a fan-tail cap and are each wrapped in gold foil. The cigars are packaged in blue-colored 10-count Liga Privada Unico Serie boxes.
In a press release, Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate, says, “When these dirty Rats first appeared, the only chance you got to catch one was by attending one of my personal Drew Estate events but the Rat infestation has grown to become more accessible to Liga Privada Ratters to snag one of these rare and tasty treats. You better act fast though because this Rat race will end soon!”
Availability of the Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat will be exclusive to Drew Diplomat retailers. Pricing is set at $16.40 per cigar or $164 per box.
The 2021 Liga Privada Unico Serie Year of the Rat will be available exclusively to Drew Diplomat Program partners beginning in early July. The limited-edition cigars’ MSRP will be $16.40 per cigar/$164.00 per box.
