East Park Cigars has announced its inaugural product offerings. The company is a partnership between Emmanuel Peña, who comes from the beverage industry, and Claudio Sanchez, who comes from e-commerce and marketing. The three lines El Borbón, El Escocés, and El Coñac were developed by the duo to be the “right blend to pair with their factories spirits.”
To produce the three blends, East Park Cigars teamed up with Henderson Ventura and Tabacalera William Ventura. As the names indicate, they are designed to pair with bourbon, scotch, and cognac.
“To develop these three inaugural concepts,” Sanchez, CEO and Co-Founder explains, “the team developed each blend by experimenting with the phenolic compounds in the tobacco leaves. Each component of the cigar is meticulously architected to enhance the smoking experience while pairing with your favourite spirit. We can’t wait to bring these new experiences to this dynamic industry.”
El Borbón (which means The Bourbon) features a Habano wrapper, Sumatra binder, and fillers consisting of Criollo ’98 seco from the Dominican Republic, USA Corojo ligero, and Pennsylvania ligero. El Escocés (which means The Scotch) also features a Habano wrapper and Sumatra binder, but the blend consists of Dominican Corojo ligero and Dominican Piloto viso along with Nicaraguan viso. Finally, El Coñac (which means The Cognac) consists of a Habano Maduro wrapper, Sumatra binder, and Criollo ’98 ligero from the Dominican Republic, USA Corojo Ligero, and Nicaraguan Criollo ’98. Each cigar is available in a 5 1/2 x 52 Robusto size. The cigars are presented in ten-count boxes. Pricing is set at $15.00 per cigar.
