Festival del Habano XXIII came to a conclusion at a gala event held at the Pabexpo Fairgrounds in Havana, Cuba. Habanos S.A. reported 1,200 in attendance including Cuban President Miguel Díaz Canel and other government authorities. The evening featured the launch of the Partagás Línea Maestra, the Humidor Auction, Habanos S.A. awards, food, and music.

The Humidor Auction saw the proceeds donated to the Cuban Public Healthcare System. There were humidors from six Habanos brands: Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagás, Hoyo de Monterrey, and H. Upmann. The proceeds from the auction totaled €11,220,000 with the Cohiba Humidor breaking its own record at €4,200,000. The Cohiba Humidor is made of wood, metals, and semiprecious stones. It included 500 Habanos from the Cohiba brand. On this occasion, the humidor was auctioned together with a unique Audemars Piguet timepiece that was donated by an anonymous individual for the auction.

The Habanos Awards were also announced for 2023.

  • Habano Award in Business: Blanca Alsogaray

Also recognized were Mr. Antonios Pasparakis and Mr. Efthymios Karacristianoidis, the winning couple from the Habanos World Challenge.
