The day before the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show and Convention has usually been reserved for seminars and an opening night reception. The PCA  today announced the lineup for the day before the Trade Show floor opens in 2024.  It includes the launch of a new docuseries, two blending seminars, the annual meeting, and return of a keynote session.

It might be the strongest lineup seen in this author’s time of going to the PCA Trade Show and Convention.

1. Cigar Docuseries Premiere (Noon to 12:45pm)

First up, there will be a new cigar docuseries that will make its way to the Trade Show. This was produced by the same team that brought the Hand Rolled documentary.

2. Toscano Master Blending Seminar (1pm to 1:45pm)

Toscano Cigars’ Master Blender Danilo Finizio will conduct a seminar focused on learning about their master-aged premium cigar line.

3. Blending Seminar Triple Threat (2pm – 3pm)

Building on the seminar conducted by Carlito Fuente and José Blanco, this year three titans will be getting together – each representing a major cigar-making country: Ernesto Perez-Carrillo (Dominican Republic), Nestor Plasencia Jr (Nicaragua) and Christian Eiroa (Honduras). The session will be moderated by Michael Herklots.

4. Annual Meeting (3:15pm to 4pm)

This year the Annual Meeting, which was usually a Saturday morning affair, is moving to Friday afternoon. The meeting will have elections, the treasurer’s report, a state of the PCA, and what to expect in the future.

5. Keynote Speaker: Oz Pearlman (4:15pm to 5pm)

The keynote speaker slot returns to PCA. This year it will be famed mentalist and magician, Oz Pearlman.

6. Opening Night Reception/Party (6pm to 8pm)

As in the past this will take place on the evening before the Trade Show opens.
