Next month, HVC Cigars will introduce a second size to its HVC 10th Anniversary line, the HVC 10th Anniversary 54. This new size will add a 5 x 54 vitola to the line. The HVC 10th Anniversary was a limited release in 2021 that originally came in a 6 1/2 x 50 Toro. The new size will ship to retailers in May.
The blend for the HVC 10th Anniversary consists of all-Nicaraguan tobaccos from the Aganorsa farms. This is highlighted by the use of Corojo 2012 tobacco in the filler. The filler also contains Corojo 1999 and Criollo 1998 tobaccos.
There are a couple of things different with the HVC 10th Anniversary 54 release. First, production for the new HVC 10th Anniversary 54 will be handled at HVC’s new factory, Fabrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. (The original was produced at Agricola Ganadera Norteña S.A.). Second, Cigar Aficionado reported the wrapper for the HVC 10th Anniversary 54 is a Rosado shade of a Corojo 1999 wrapper. This differs from the Toro size which used a Claro shade.
The HVC 10th Anniversary 54 will be presented in ten-count boxes. Pricing is set at $13.90 per cigar.
