This year, Oveja Negra Brands will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Black Label Trading Company brand. To commemorate the occasion, Black Label Trading Company is releasing La Madonna Negra – it’s 10th anniversary cigar.
“La Madonna Negra is a culmination of things I’ve learned over the last decade of cigar making. It’s a cigar that not only represents Black Label but also represents who I am today as a cigar maker. It’s bold, as a BLTC cigar should be but, it’s also very refined and elegant. It has layers of complexity and a very unique profile. A mixture of different spice elements combines with aromatic floral notes to create something unexpected. I’m very proud of the result,” said James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra, in a press release.
La Madonna Negra is a limited-production, small-batch cigar. It is produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. The blend features a USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over an Ecuadorian Habano binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Pennsylvanian fillers. The cigars will come in three box-pressed sizes: Rothschild (4 1/2 x 48), Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 50), and Robusto (5 x 54). Each will be presented in 20-count boxes.
In addition, there will be a 32-count limited collection mixed box of the three sizes. These will be allocated to select retailers via an online lottery held on Instagram (@blacklabeltradingco) on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 6pm CST. The results will also be posted to the company’s Facebook group, James Brown/BLTC & BLK WKS.
La Madonna Negra begins shipping next week to retailers.
