Next month, Forged Cigar Company will release its latest line under its El Rey del Mundo brand, the El Rey de Mundo Shade Grown. This will feature two regular production sizes plus a limited edition vitola.

El Rey del Mundo Shade Grown is highlighted by a Honduran-grown Connecticut Shade wrapper, a first for the brand. The remainder of the blend consists of a binder grown from the Jamastran Valle of Honduras and Honduran-grown fillers from Copan and Jamastran. Production comes from the HATSA factory in Honduras.

The two regular production sizes of El Rey del Mundo are a Robusto and a Toro. The limited edition size is a 6 1/2 x 44 Lonsdale. All will be presented in 20-count boxes with production of the Lonsdale limited to 500 boxes.

In a press release assistant brand manager for El Rey del Mundo Cory Beardsley said, “El Rey del Mundo continues to grow by popular demand. With Shade Grown we are expanding the brand’s range with an everyday smoke that delivers on its promise of complexity. This is a satisfying, anytime smoke and we’re looking forward to sharing it with premium cigar enthusiasts across the country.”

El Rey de Mundo Shade Grown is scheduled to ship to retailers on July 1. It is anticipated this cigar will be showcased at the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show which opens on July 7.
