Cigar News: Forged Cigar Company Introduces Los Status Deluxe Maduro at PCA 2023

One year ago, Forged Cigar Company resurrected and reimagined the Los Status Deluxe brand. In fact, the new Los Status Deluxe made a surprise appearance at the 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show at the Room101 Cigars booth. At the 2023 edition of PCA, Forged Cigar Company was in full force and unveiled a new installment to the Los Status Deluxe brand, the Los Status Deluxe Maduro. This is a cigar that was a joint effort between Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG)’s Matt Booth and Justin Andrews.

The Los Status Deluxe Maduro is a regular production offering that is produced at STG’s HATSA factory in Danlí, Honduras. It features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a combination of Dominican and Honduran fillers. It is available in four sizes – each presented in 20-count boxes: Robusto (5 x 50, SRP $8.79/cigar), Toro (6 x 52, SRP $9.49/cigar), Gordo (6 x 60, SRP $9.99/cigar), and Churchill (7 x 49, SRP $9.99/cigar).

In a press release, Matt Wilson, senior brand manager for Los Statos Deluxe, said, “Los Statos Deluxe Maduro takes what we started with last year’s re-release of the brand and brings it to the next level. Calling on modern imagery and a blend that is equally provocative, we are continuing to evolve Los Statos to appeal to modern smokers and traditionalists alike. When you factor in the combined blending expertise of Matt Booth and Justin Andrews with the support of our Honduran team, we’re sure this cigar will be a big seller when it hits retail in August.”

Los Statos Deluxe Maduro is scheduled to ship to retailers on August 1.
