Prior to the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Freud Cigar Company launched what is designed to be a limited edition series known as Sigmund. The first installment is called Sigmund Chapter One – The Disruptor and it was on display at the 2023 PCA Trade Show.

Freud Cigar Company pays homage to Dr. Sigmund Freud, who was born on May 6, 1856. The initial launch of the Sigmund Chapter One took place at The Tobacconist of Greenwich on May 3, 2023. The Sigmund Chapter One Disruptor is branded as a “2023 Limited Edition.” Future annual releases under the Sigmund line are expected.

The details of the blend have not been disclosed. It was blended by Eladio Diaz at his Tabacalera Diaz Cabrera factory, which is one of Freud Cigar Company’s manufacturing partners. The blend has seven different tobaccos, including five different filler tobaccos. The cigar is a 7 1/2 x 50 Double Corona. A total of 3,500 numbered ten-count boxes were produced. Pricing is set at $42.00 SRP per cigar.
