United Cigars has announced that new sizes of its Red Anchor line will hit the stores in late August. These sizes include Captain (5 x 50) and Gunner. Both sizes were showcased at the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show last month.

Red Anchor was a dormant brand that was re-acquired by United Cigar. The brand traces its roots back to 1772. Last year, Red Anchor was launched in a single size (Admiral) to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the brand. United has contracted with Hendrik Kelner Jr‘s KBF factory to produce the Red Anchor line.

“We are thrilled to introduce both the Captain and the Gunner as the newest additions to our Red Anchor family,” said Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations for United Cigars, in a press release. “These cigars pay homage to a long-standing tradition, a tribute to heritage and excellence. We are confident that cigar enthusiasts worldwide will savor the richness and elegance that defined cigars half a century ago.”

The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper over a Dominican Monte Plata binder from the Kelner family farms and a combination of Dominican and Pennsylvania fillers. Both the Captain and Gunner will come in 25-count boxes with a price of $20.00 SRP/cigar or $500.00 SRP/box.
