Columbus Day is a day often celebrated by people of Italian heritage, and it was on Columbus Day that a new company that pays homage to Italian heritage was launched – MB Fuma. MB Fuma (MBF) is a company founded by Jared Michaeli Ingrisano, who recently became the President of Mombacho Cigars S.A./Favilli. The company will be based out of Miami, Florida and will work it production out of Nicaragua.
MBF Fuma says it will kick off in the U.S. market, targeting 50 key accounts with additional accounts to follow. The company says it will target retail shops with owners of Italian heritage and/or stores located in the traditional Italian neighborhoods of America. Additional retail stores will be added in the months to come.
The launch includes two core brands: Straight off the Boat and Consegna Speciale. On November 30th, the company will debut a third brand from its “Legacy Lines” series called NOV30. The company is also planning a line called MBF Boxing, bringing cigars and boxing together. Production is being handled by AgroIndustrial Nicaraguense de Tabacos S.A., the factory owned by the Ortez family in Condega, Nicaragua.
The company says retailers will be able to reserve the lines immediately and will begin shipping later this month. MB Fuma is also planning on marketing products such as Italian olive oil and Nicaraguan coffee.

The sport of boxing is something that Michaeli has been involved with for many years. The plan is for MBF Boxing to partner with notable professional boxing outfits to support amateur boxing programs for youth.
