The month of October is famous for one of College Football’s great rivalries: University of Alabama versus University of Tennessee and once again the R&R Cigar Mansion has a special exclusive cigar to commemorate the game. This year, the Tuscaloosa, Alabama cigar retailer once again teamed up with La Flor Dominicana Cigars to release, the 2023 edition of “The Cigar Game.”

The Cigar Game 2023 edition features a Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican binder and filler. The wrapper contains artisan accents, including one of a football cutout. The cigar comes in one size – a 6 x 52 box-pressed Toro. Pricing is set at $200.00 per ten-count box.

The Alabama-Tennessee game is famous for the victorious team lighting up a cigar. According to Knoxville News Sentinel, the origin of this tradition traces back to Jim Goostree, a Tennessee alumnus who became the longtime trainer at Alabama. After a 34-3 Crimson Tide victory in 1961, Goostree passed out cigars in the locker room. It became an annual tradition, and along the way the University of Tennessee adopted the tradition.

The Alabama-Tennessee game takes place October 21, 2023 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
