United Cigars has announced it has opened an Atabey branded lounge at Ambassador Fine Cigars in Peoria, Arizona. It becomes the fourth branded lounge under the United Cigars umbrella.

Atabey is one of the brands of Selected Tobacco and is distributed by United Cigars. Back in 2021, Ambassador Fine Cigars celebrated its 25th anniversary with a custom, limited-edition humidor created by Nelson Alfonso. The humidor featured 40 cigars from the Selected Tobacco portfolio and was limited to 200 units.

In a press release, Ambassador Cigars Owner Vartan Seferian commented, “We are thrilled to bring the Atabey Lounge experience to Peoria, AZ. The collaboration with United Cigars for our 25th Anniversary Limited Edition humidor was a testament to our commitment to providing the finest cigars and now we are creating a unique haven for cigar enthusiasts.”

The lounge will provide a space for members and guests to enjoy premium cigars and spirits. In addition, United Cigars says the lounge will offer exclusive offerings.

“The Atabey Lounge will mirror the persona of a man that is respected throughout the industry for his innovation and romance for the leaf. Vartan has never wavered and our conversations for this partnership began from our first trip to Havana together in 2018,” said Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations for United Cigars.

United Cigars says a date for the grand opening is in the works. Plans are for Nelson Alfonso and Oliver Nivaud to attend that event.
