Next month, General Cigar will release the CAO Flathead Resonator. This is a new regular production offering under the CAO Flathead brand that comes in a large, chunky box-pressed 8 x 60 vitola. Keeping to Flathead’s automotive theme, the Resonator is named for a component in a car’s exhaust system that reduces noise.
The Resonator features a different blend than the core CAO Flathead line. The cigar uses a U.S.-grown Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Connecticut Habano binder and fillers for Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The Resonator is packaged in 24-count boxes engineered with plasma-cut metal lids that double as “the ultimate in garage art.” Pricing for the Resonator is $12.79 per cigar.
This is not the first time CAO has released an 8 x 60 cigar. In 2021, CAO released the limited edition CAO 60 Torque. The CAO 60 Torque was best known for its oil can packaging design.
The Resonator will begin shipping on February 1, 2024. At a glance, here is a look at the CAO Flathead Resonator:
