CAO FASA

At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, General Cigars will introduce CAO FASA. This is a two-blend regular production line consisting of the CAO FASA Sol and the CAO FASA Noche. These cigars share common tobaccos but differ in wrappers, producing two unique smoking experiences.

The FASA Sol features General Cigar’s Honduran Olancho San Agustin (OSA), while the FASA Noche features a Connecticut Broadleaf. The binder and filler are the same for both. The binder is made of Cameroon leaf, while the fillers are composed of tobacco from the Dominican Republic and three growing regions of Nicaragua. Production for the Sol comes from the HATSA factory in Honduras. Meanwhile, production for the Noche comes from Nicaragua at STG Estelí.

In a press release, Ed Lahmann, senior brand manager, explains, “We built CAO FASA on a versatile, nuanced blend that combines a Cameroon binder with fillers from the Dominican Republic and three Nicaraguan growing regions. From this foundation, we set out to highlight the importance of the wrapper on the overall experience of the cigar. CAO FASA Sol and CAO FASA Noche could not be more alike, yet they could not be more different. They’re literally like night and day, and still perfect for either occasion. This is what CAO is all about…taking our fans on a journey through the tobaccos we choose.”

The 2024 PCA Trade Show opens on March 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada. General Cigar will ship both the Sol and Noche blends on April 1.
