La Aurora Cazadores Maduro and Nicaragua to Launch at PCA 2024 | Cigar News

At the 2024 Premium Ciga Association Trade Show, La Aurora USA will expand Cazadores line with the addition of the Cazadores Maduro and Cazadores Nicaragua lines. Cazadores (Spanish for “Hunters”) is La Aurora’s value-priced line. It was first introduced in 2018 with Cazadores Claro, a Connecticut wrapper offreing. .

“With the success of the claro wrapper we knew we could expand the Cazadores line and offer a Nicaragua and Maduro wrapper option at a price point that could continue to introduce Manuel Inoa’s blends to a budget-conscious audience. And ultimately introduce this audience to the La Aurora Family,” says Ed McKenna, CEO of La Aurora USA, in a press release.

“Two things excite me most about the refresh of the Cazadores line: One, with the addition of Nicaragua and Maduro to the Cazadores line I truly believe there is not a better line of value cigars at the same suggested MSRP in the U.S. market. And two, it is the only gordo, or 6×60, format offered within our current U.S. portfolio, and it is something our fans and retailers have been asking for across all our U.S. markets,” added National Sales Director, John Ferrigan of La Aurora USA.

The Cazadores Maduro features an Indonesian Maduro wrapper over an Indonesian binder and fillers from the Cibao Valley. Meanwhile, the Cazadores Nicaragua uses a Nicaraguan wrapper over an Indonesian binder and filler from the Cibao Valley.

Cazadores Nicaragua

Presented in 20-count boxes, the three blends of the Cazadores Series are available in three sizes: Robusto, Toro, and Gordo. Pricing is between $4.50 – $6.50 per cigar. The Cazadores Claro and Cazadores Maduro have slated a production of 650 boxes. The production for Cazadores Maduro is 500 boxes.
