Warped Cigars has begun informing retailers that at this year’s Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, it will introduce a new line called Isla del Cocodrilo. This is Spanish for “Island of Crocodile.” It pays homage to the shape of the island of Cuba, which some say resembles a crocodile.
Produced at Tabacalera La Isla, Isla de Cocodrilo features an Ecuadorian Habano Deflorada wrapper. The blend also features dual binders (Ecuadorian Habano 2000 and Brazilian Arapiraca) over a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos. Presented in boxes of 15, Isla de Cocodrilo comes in two sizes: Toro and Corona Gorda.
“When we embarked on the journey of sourcing tobacco for this project, we sought something truly extraordinary for the wrapper, and we have achieved just that with the Habano Deflorada,” remarked Kyle Gellis in an email to retailers. “It adds a layer of complexity and richness to Isla del Cocodrilo, elevating the blend’s experience to a new flavor spectrum from Warped.”
The 2024 PCA Trade Show opens March 23 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Warped has said no orders for this cigar will be accepted before the show’s first day.
