At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, General Cigar Company introduced the Macanudo Emissary España. España is the first release under a new sub-brand for Macanudo called Emissary. General Cigar describes Emissary as a brand that deliver sophisticated European smoking experiences. The Macanudo Emissary España is unique in that it incorporates tobacco from Spain. This is a regular production line for Macanudo.
The Spanish tobacco comes from a farm near the town of Riolobos, Spain which is located in the West-Central region of Spain. In addition to the Spanish tobacco, the filler also incorporates several other filler tobaccos including five-year-aged Dominican Piloto, six-year-aged Nicaraguan, and five-year-aged Colombian tobacco. The binder is a six-year-old Nicaraguan leaf from Condega. Finally, the España is finished with a five-year-aged Connecticut-grown Broadleaf Claro wrapper.
Produced out of the HATSA factory in Honduras, the España is available in four sizes. The España is presented in 16-count boxes.
The España is currently shipping to retailers.
