PCA 2024 Crux Cigars

Crux Cigars didn’t show off any new products at the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, but it still had plenty to talk about in terms of its 2024 innovation pipeline. Crux has three projects expected to release in the August to October timeframe. One of those releases is a cigar celebrating the company’s tenth anniversary.

First up, the Crux Passport is returning. Crux Passport was one of the first brands the company launched. This blend is a personal favorite of company President Jeff Haugen. Passport was discontinued because of some issues with the wrapper, but it is returning in what Haugen describes as an “elevated blend.”  The line maintains its Habano wrapper, but Crux has been able to grow some better tobaccos through the Plasencia family.

Crux is also launching the Crux Marblehead line. The company trademarked the name and has used it for its vitolas which are tapered and feature the Cuban 109 flat (bullet) cap. Over the years, Crux has built custom molds for almost all of its ring gauges. Thus, it can offer Marbleheads in a variety of sizes and blends. The company is launching Crux Marblehead in a Robusto (5 x 50) and Gordo (6 x 60).  Crux Marblehead is intended to be a value-priced line, with the Robusto costing $8.00 and the Gordo priced at $9.00. These cigars will be offered in 60-count trays. The tray features 20 individual cigars, four five-packs, and one 20-count unit using acrylic packaging.

To commemorate Crux’s tenth anniversary, the company plans to release Crux Astorias, its most premium release to date. Priced at $25.00, the cigar will boast “next-level packaging” and feature ten-year-old tobacco rolled by highly skilled rollers.

Crux will release more details on these projects as the release date approaches.
