The 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show again saw Plasencia Cigars as one of the busiest booths. This is no surprise, as the booth has been one of the most popular ever since Plasencia Cigars launched its brand at the 2017 IPCPR Show. In fact, the booth was named PCA’s Best Medium-Sized Booth. In addition, the Cigar Coop team recognized Plasencia’s booth as one of the top booths. This year, Plasencia showcased a new line extension to its Plasencia 149 line called Cortez. It’s a line that CEO Nestor Andrés Plasencia says not only allows his family to showcase some of the best tobacco but puts the spotlight on Honduras as well.
The Plasencia 149 Cortez is a 5 3/4 x 56 Figurado. In this case the Cortez 149 is a cigar comprised of 100% Honduran tobacco from the Plasencia family’s 149th harvest that took place in 2014. The availability of the tobaccos from that harvest ultimately limits the line. Like the rest of the line, the Cortez Figurado is available in ten-count boxes. The Cortez has shipped to retailers and comes in at a price point of $18.90 SRP. Production comes from Tabacos de Oriente in Honduras.

Now I see that why everyone has been raving about this booth! If you can call that a booth. It seems to have the aesthetic of the factory, which is a nice touch.
I am NOT a robot, Coop. But those squares are besting me. Worthy, cubic, adversaries…
