At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Plasencia Cigars introduced a fourth size to its Cosecha 149 line, the Cortez Figurado. The Cortez Figurado adds a 5 3/4 x 56 figurado size into the Plasencia 149 line.
The name Cosecha is Spanish for Harvest. In this case the Cosecha 149 is a cigar comprised of 100% Honduran tobacco from the Plasencia family’s 149th harvest that took place in 2014. The availability of the tobaccos from that harvest ultimately limits the line. Like the rest of the line, the Cortez Figurado is available in ten-count boxes.
Cosecha 149 was the second installment of Placencia’s Cosecha series. In 2017, Plasencia launched the series with the Plasencia 146, a cigar made from tobaccos from the Plasencia 146th crop. Recently, the line was discontinued because the tobacco supply was exhausted. Last year, the third installment, the Plasencia 151, was released.
The Plasencia 149 Cortez Figurado has a price point of $18.90 per cigar. The cigar has arrived at retailers.
